About Me
Michael Holmes, acrylic painter and pastel artist, received his Bachelors Degree of Interior Architecture from Kansas State University in 1992. Michael went public with his pastel works in 1993 and worked primarily in pastels until 1996 when he transitioned his style to acrylics. Michael credits two individuals as influencing his style, Mike Lin, a recognized architectural renderer and James Navarro, a painter. Michael’s artwork is loose, bright colored, textured images of simple forms often related to architecture, landscapes, or common home items. All works have a tie to his enjoyment of architecture, simple shapes and color theory.
